"The mother of 2 children, Ms. Brown was diagnosed with breast cancer on her birthday in 2008. She decided to treat herself and her children to a well deserved vacation in the summer of 2010. That's when everything changed. While on vacation, Ms. Brown decided to quit her outside employment and work for her bohemian chic crocheted clothing line Black Pearl Creations.
“When you are told you have cancer, and are dying, your perspective on life is turned upside down. You are no longer afraid to take chances.” Since working full time for herself, Black Pearl Creations' chunky, fringed cowls have been recommended by UsTrendy to their thousands of fans on Facebook. Black Pearl Creations has also been affiliated with New York Fashion Week 2010 through The Kitten Lounge.
Black Pearl Creations has been in business since 2001 and is now expanding with Ms. Brown designing and manufacturing full time."
